Mill Lane Vet
Community
playing our part in our neighbourhood
Our practice plays an active part in the local community. We are proud, regular supporters of local events such as ‘Woof stock’ in Gladstone Park, where Dr Joshua Rusnak often judges the dog show, the ‘Jester Festival’ and the West Hampstead Community Centre.
We are active and strong supporters of the Mayhew Animal Home, as well as other local RSPCA and animal welfare groups.

We welcome visits from local schools’ reception classes, where we provide the children and teachers with tours of the surgery, in small groups, to see what goes on behind the scenes at a veterinary hospital.
If you want to discuss the possibility of organising a visit for your child’s school, just get in touch.
Our annual open day is a great opportunity for us to meet our neighbours. We host a fun party for locals and children (with or without pets!), Our last open day was great fun. Our garden was packed with owls for visitors to meet. The Mayhew Animal Home showed kittens available for adoption to local residents, and were available to tell everyone about the important work they do. Guide Dogs for the Blind brought some dogs for people to meet, and were also on hand to answer questions about their work. We also had quizzes for children as they went through the surgery, face painting, and a BBQ lunch.
